The energy industry’s top event, Vaasa EnergyWeek, starts again on Monday. The advance enrolments indicate that there is record interest this year.
Both Vaasa and the surrounding region are again expecting thousands of participants to attend from dozens of countries. This year’s event, which will be the 12th EnergyWeek held, will be on 11-14 March.
“Over four days, there will be 25 seminars with more than 160 speakers and over 200 exhibitors”, says Kristoffer Jansson, Communications & Brand Manager of EnergyVaasa.
The location for the event is Vaasa City Hall with its fine old traditions. Participation is free of charge, but the organisers, who gathered for a group photo in the market square a few days before the event, urge everyone to pre-register for the seminars that interest them.
“It is also a good idea to arrive in time, so therefore we will be sending a message reminding of the next item on the programme before each seminar starts”, says Kristoffer Jansson.
Four main themes
EnergyWeek 2024 will focus on four main themes: energy and climate, wind and renewable energy, energy storage, and gas energy. In addition, the programme will also include everything from the circular economy and space technology to artificial intelligence.
EnergyWeek kicks off on Monday with the traditional Energy and Climate Seminar (Energia- & ilmastoseminaari). The seminar is held in Finnish and aimed at decision-makers. For the rest of the week, the programme is in English.
Vaasa Insider and Vaasa International will cover the event closely throughout the week.
